eCom eCom Names New President
First Application of Safeware Product Line Ready

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - July 11, 2002 - Today eCom eCom, Inc. (OTC/BB:ECEC) announced that Peter Tamayo, Jr., Ph.D., has been appointed President and Chief Technology Officer. At age 39, Dr. Tamayo is an entrepreneur and computer scientist with more than 24 years of high technology experience in computer and electronics applications including computer language design, software engineering, and computer hardware and chip manufacturing.

As an industry-recognized professional, Dr. Tamayo has experience leading successful private and public high technology companies. He has worked with industry leaders such as Microsoft®, IBM, Compaq, Emulex, and several others in research, development, and marketing of several of the companies' leading software and computer hardware solutions. Dr. Tamayo also serves as an advisor to several high technology companies and leading corporate think tanks.

Prior to joining eCom eCom, Dr. Tamayo served as Chairman and CEO of Internet Security Solutions, Inc. (ISS). As its chief computer scientist, he established the standards for the company in the development of "safeware" computer applications for high security computing environments. These applications provide authentication and authorization of individuals based on encryption of data and biometrics, the science of identifying personnel via palm prints, finger prints, retinal scan and facial recognition. The company also provides a sophisticated software license compliance and Electronic Software Distribution platform.

Dr. Tamayo joins eCom eCom as the company prepares for the launch of MyPhotoZip!™, an image compression software application that uses highly optimized wavelet compression and fractal algorithms to compress images in a nearly lossless state. According to Tamayo, "I worked with eCom eCom to refine the MyPhotoZip!™ application. During this time I became passionate about the promise of its technology, its current use in medical applications, and its many possible future applications in the software vertical markets. My goal is to make eCom eCom the image compression software industry leader."

The safeware offerings from ISS are expected to be merged into all of eCom eCom, Inc.'s future product lines. ISS software products protect MyPhotoZip!™ trial-ware programs through software licensing compliance and by use of the ISS proprietary Electronic Software Distribution and e-commerce systems. According to Tamayo, these products will incorporate software and hardware based systems with custom digital signal processing chips that can be embedded in digital cameras, video capture cards, Internet medical appliances, and various computer security applications.

"Our families of products have the common characteristic of being intuitive and easy to use," said Tamayo. "They increase storage capacity, security and image processing speed. Our first product, MyPhotoZip!™, does all of this for only $39.95!"

Dr. Tamayo replaces Robert C. Wilson who remains a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Wilson has joined eCom eCom's teaming partner, World Data Group.
